Soul Insurance?

I am reading Billy Graham’s latest book, Nearing Home:  Life, Faith and Finishing Well.  There are many topics, but one thing keeps screaming at me:  Prepare for the future by preparing in Christ!

With the financial upheaval, the protests sweeping the globe and the extensive natural disasters that have plagued our world many are concerned with where we are heading.  Some interpret end times scenarios while others say it is another bump in human history, but almost all say PREPARE!

We are told to invest in this or to avoid stock in that.  We are told to have health insurance, flood insurance, earthquake insurance, life insurance and countless other forms of insurance for our futures.  But none of those insurances can guarantee our safety.  They can prolong discomfort in the physical, mental and emotional senses, they can provide some security and assurance that the future is not as gloomy as some predict, but none of them prepare our souls.

While you might not be spiritual, you probably feel a need to prepare.  I wonder, as you are preparing do you still find yourself anxious, wanting more, needing more?  Do you still feel lacking in something?  Are your accomplishments as rewarding as you imagined them to be?  Do you stay awake at night planning ahead, worried or restless?  Or do you throw yourself into your tasks to avoid having to think?  Perhaps you throw yourself into hobbies, work, family or some form of drug to avoid having to think about that empty part inside.  Perhaps you do not even recognize you have an empty part inside, perhaps you think you don’t have an empty part because you go to church, you pray, you do community service, because you are a good person?

We have an empty part inside, a part only Christ can fill.  He is the insurance our souls long for.  We can fill our lives with many forms of insurance, even going to church, but unless we are building a lasting foundation in Christ we are not really insuring our souls.

From a Biblical standpoint:

1.        Going to church does not make you a Christian any more than eating at McDonald’s makes you a BigMac.  Doing good things does not make you a Christian any more than being a mechanic makes you a car.  You cannot be good enough to work your way to heaven, you cannot attend church enough to gain entrance into heaven (read my blog Titled Salvation for information on how to become a Christian).
2.        Just because you have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior does not mean your souls’ journey ends there.  God has a plan for you, a purpose for your life.  You must spend time with him daily; you must grow in your relationship with him to be able to hear his voice.  You don’t get married and then never talk to your spouse; if you did, it wouldn’t be long before you divorced because you fell out of love.   A relationship with God is the same, it takes time and effort.  We don’t accept Christ into our lives simply for life insurance; we do it out of love because he loves us.

If we begin our foundation in Christ, we must continue to build upon it to help us withstand the trails of the world.  Christ is not simply a way into heaven; he is a way to overcome life’s difficulties with peace and joy.  He wants to walk with us through the storms of life; he wants to ensure our happiness.

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”John 16:33

"The thief (Satan) comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” John 10:10

So my questions for you are:  Do you have a foundation for your soul?  If so, are you building on your foundation or letting roots spring up and make cracks in your groundwork?  Are you ready for life’s disasters?

If you are building on any other foundation, trusting in any other form of insurance, you will be disappointed, you will be left wanting, you will continue to worry.  Only in Christ can we overcome.

“This is what the LORD says: "Do not learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by signs in the sky, though the nations are terrified by them” Jeremiah 10:2 NIV

We do not have to worry about what will happen, if we are living in the end times or if we are about to go through another Great Depression if we build on Christ.  We can have assurance that our foundation can withstand ANYTHING, even if it is a little painful.

Bucket List

“Death says, “This is the finality of accomplishment.”   While we cannot add anything more to our experience, believers in Christ have the hope of hearing the Savior say, “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:21 NKJV).”  Billy Graham, Nearing Home:  Life, Faith and Finishing Well

I was struck speechless when I read these words.  I don’t offend think of death, especially my own.
If I do, I am consumed with thoughts of not seeing my son grow up, of what will become of him and the rest of my family.

Never before did I stop and think “That’s it, I can’t accomplish anything else.”

Maybe you have, maybe you have thought:
When I die, I won’t have:

Finished reading my book

Finished washing the dishes

Finished watching that movie

Finished that project at work

Finished scrubbing the grout (or even starting to clean it)

Finished downloading and backing up my computer files

Finished organizing my (fill in the blank)

While reading Mr. Grahams words, these thoughts briefly flooded my mind, but more important thoughts followed.

When I die I won’t have:

Another opportunity to tell my neighbor about Christ

Another chance to volunteer my time

Another occasion for sharing the love of God

Another time to say “I love you”

Another possibility to witness to the lost

I couldn’t believe how much time I waste with trivial things when there is a world lost and dying!

When I die I will not have any more time to do all the things I “plan” on doing.  I won’t be able to follow up on my “talk” of witnessing.  I won’t be able to do anything else for the kingdom!

What if instead of saying, “Well done” God says, “you did okay, but you could have done better?”

Okay, maybe I am projecting my own fears here, but what if God isn’t satisfied with my work for his Kingdom?

What if he says, “You excelled in your career, you were a great parent and A+ on church attendance, but you get a C in witnessing and a D in showing the love of Christ to strangers”

Again, God probably won’t use a grading scale (at least I hope not), but he will judge us according to the works we do and the ones we don’t.

While we will gain entrance because of His sacrifice, is that enough?  Is that my only goal?

What if God says, “Who did you bring with you?”

I realize these are a great many “what ifs”, but I can’t help but wonder if I am accomplishing all that I can for the kingdom of Christ.

What about you, what’s on your Bucket List?  Are they things on God’s priority list or your own?

Final words of inspiration:  “Give your life to Christ:  He can do more with it than you can.” D.L. Moody

Happy Thanksgiving

I know it can be challenging at times to be grateful, but tomorrow, I pray you find things to reflect on that bring joy to your mind and re-freshen your spirit.

Happy Thanksgiving.  God bless.

Thanksgiving Reflections

I was watching football this weekend with a few friends when the conversation turned to Thanksgiving.  I was shocked as I heard those around me talking about how commercialized Thanksgiving has become.  Not shocked that they could say such a thing, but shocked because it was not me leading the discussion.

That talk, lead to this post.

Traditionally, Thanksgiving was a day set aside to be thankful for religious freedom, as well as our other freedoms and prosperities, but is that what we, in today’s society, reflect upon?

How many of us set aside time during this holiday to meditate on all the things we are thankful for?  (I’m not talking about saying a prayer before cutting the turkey, but really evaluating all our blessings.)

Are we, as a nation, really thankful for all that we have?

As individuals, do we spend more time thinking about what we have, or bemoaning all that we don’t?

Appears to me we have turned this holiday into something hardly resembling a day of Thankfulness and into a celebration of:

Eating
Football
Shopping
Parades
Vacation

Were you aware that Thanksgiving didn’t become a national holiday until 1863 (I wasn't)?  (That was during the Civil War.)  During a time of serious strife in our nation, our President established a day of Thanks because he knew we still had much to be grateful for.  Do we still know that?

Prior to this establishment, each state/territory held a day of thanksgiving, they didn’t have to be instructed; they simply wanted to express thanks, to reflect on their many blessings.

In fact, the first documented thanksgiving feasts were held here by the Spaniards in the 16th Century (per Wikipedia).  As early as 1607 the Commonwealth of Virginia regularly celebrated Thanksgiving.  Both of these were before the pilgrims celebrated their first Thanksgiving in 1621 (which is what most of us think about when related to the history of Thanksgiving).

Why is it that for centuries people set aside time to be thankful, to be truly grateful for all they had, and in today’s society we cram events into this holiday that can hardly resemble the gratitude those before us celebrated?

Perhaps you truly are thankful for Black Friday Sales or Thanksgiving Football.  Maybe you vacation to see your loved ones or to see massive parades that fill your heart with joy.

Those are wonderful things, but let’s please remember there are more important things to be thankful for, things less material, less commercialized.

So what do you think: Has Thanksgiving become commercialized, is this an example of us losing some of our heritage?  On a brighter note, what special ways does your family celebrate this special time of year?

Prayer Requests

“I have been driven many times to my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had absolutely no other place to go.”  Abraham Lincoln

I feel like Lincoln sometimes, so plagued with tough decisions that I know the only place to go is on my knees in prayer.

As I look at the evil transpiring in the world, I feel God telling me to pray.  Pray for His will to be done, Pray for my family, Pray for my friends, Pray for my neighbors, Pray for my community, Pray for my nation and Pray for you.

Prayer is so important yet it is often overlooked and undervalued.  Sometimes it can become routine and we don’t realize the awesomeness and power found in prayer. We pray over a meal, pray before bedtime and pray at church, but how many of us view prayer as a vehicle that can change not only our lives, but lives around us?

I know I am guilty of letting my prayers become routine at time.  But I don’t want to do that any longer.  I want my prayers to transform me, my family, my loved ones and my nation.  I want to daily remember what the Bible says about prayer“…the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.” James 5:16b NIV

Throughout history, many people have relied upon prayer to make a difference in their world and they have attributed prayer to changing their lives and the course of history.

So today I ask that you pray for me.  Pray that God will guide me in what to post so that he is glorified and you are blessed.  Pray also that God’s will be done regarding my book being published.

In return I want to pray for you.

Please feel free to post requests here.  Every Friday I will read through the comments and I will pray for each of you.  You can also leave encouraging messages for others and pray for them.

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.”  Ephesians 6:18 NIV

I want to leave you with one last thought:

“Is prayer your steering wheel or your spare tire?” Corrie Ten Boom

Is Home Schooling Being Schooled?

I was forwarded an email by a concerned friend.  She is one of many who are making the switch from sending their children through the public educational system and choosing to home school instead.

While I do not home school, I believe this is a right every parent should have as long as their children are legitimately educated.  One way to assure their education meets national standards is by ACT Score, SAT score and overall college performance.  This is not a post about home schooling standards and how to judge curriculum, because to be honest, I know very little about it.

I do know however, that there is a growing trend of taxpaying parents who are choosing to home school their children.  I emphasize taxpaying because these parents are paying taxes for public educational systems that they are not using.  This means other children benefit from their tax dollars and a reduced number of children attending the school system.  Win win for the public schools that are under pressure to meet educational standards on a decreased budget while class sizes are ever increasing in volume.

So back to the topic of this post:  The email she sent me is in regards to the NEA, National Education Association, and the resolutions recently passed.

One resolution that caught my attention, among the plethora of resolutions, related to homeschooling.

B-82. Home Schooling. The National Education Association believes that home
schooling programs based on parental choice cannot provide the student with a
comprehensive education experience. When home schooling occurs, students
enrolled must meet all state curricular requirements, including the taking and
passing of assessments to ensure adequate academic progress. Home schooling
should be limited to the children of the immediate family, with all expenses
being borne by the parents/guardians. Instruction should be by persons who are
licensed by the appropriate state education licensure agency, and a curriculum
approved by the state department of education should be used
.

The Association also believes that home-schooled students should not participate
in any extracurricular activities in the public schools.

I took the liberty of bolding a few key words for you.  Let’s break this down:

For starters, what I take out of this is that only immediate family can educate a child.  Does this mean grandparents can no longer have that honor/responsibility?  What about Aunts/Uncles, are they not allowed to home school a niece/nephew as they educate their own children?

Next, I see that one has to have a State Education License to be allowed to teach home school.  While I do believe there is concern that the parents/grandparents/whoever teaching actually be literate, why should they have to have a teaching certification?  What if they happen to have other college degrees?   If a child can meet a national test, why does it matter the degree/certification, or lack thereof, of the person who educated them?

CURRICULUM APPROVED BY THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION!!!  Are you serious?  Part of the reason many of the people I know are leaving the public educational system is they do not like the curriculum.  Some want a more religious undertone, while others would like even less religion than what they are exposed to in the public arena.  Is this the government trying to control more of our thoughts and lives?  Are we turning into a government ran educational system where parents are not allowed input into what their children are learning?  One might remember from history that Hitler did a similar thing with the Hitler youth (please if you do not have much knowledge on this topic, do your homework before you start commenting, ignorance is no excuse to repeat history.  While there are many sites you can Google related to Nazi education, here is one site that sums it up nicely, http://www.historylearningsite.co.uk/Nazis_Education.htm)

The last thing I find appalling in this resolution is that home schooled children are not to be allowed to participate in extracurricular activities in the public schools their parents pay tax dollars to?  Seriously?  I think the stupidity of this statement speaks for its self and I don’t need to elaborate.

So…What are your thoughts?  Do you home school your children, are you concerned with the NEA resolutions or do you feel this doesn’t concern you?  Do you have any additional knowledge to add?  As I stated I am not an expert and know very little about this.  I only know what my friends who home school share.

Counting Our Blessings

“And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” Ephesians 5:20 NLT

My last few posts have been heavy, so today I would like us to focus on counting our blessings.

Sometimes it can be difficult to count our blessings.  Sometimes we are so overwhelmed by circumstances that are beyond our control that it is hard to remember all we have to be thankful for.  Yet even during our darkest hours God is in control and there are blessings worth counting.

I have so many things to be thankful for, both big and small.

I am thankful for my salvation and that my God sits on the throne.
I am thankful I live in a nation that is still free.
I am thankful for my family and friends.
I am thankful for all the provisions God provides me and my family.
I am thankful for my good health and the health of my loved ones.
I am thankful for my cat who is keeping me company as I write.
I am thankful my son slept well last night.
I am thankful I had enough milk left to eat a bowl of cereal.
And I am thankful for you, dear reader.  I pray you have numerous things to count.

Please share your blessings with us, thank you and have a wonderful day!

OWS vs. The Tea Party: what they have in common and how they are different

As I read news related to the protests sweeping our nation I am stricken with this one thought: “The enemy of my enemy is my friend”.

What does that mean, “The enemy of my enemy is my friend”?

After much research into the origins of these protests, their financial backers and the factions supporting this movement, I can plainly see that groups who normally would not associate are casting aside their differences to stand against a common enemy.

That sounds good right?  I mean, how could people working together for a cause be bad?

Let’s take a look at some of the groups represented at the protests, (for a more complete list go to:  http://www.theblaze.com/stories/this-is-the-comprehensive-list-of-those-supporting-occupy-wall-st/)

1)      Communist Party USA
2)      American NAZI Party
3)      Revolutionary Communist Party
4)      Black Panthers
5)      Hezbollah
6)      Anonymous (think Wiki Leaks)
7)      Revolutionary Guards of Iran
8)      CAIR
9)      Communist Party of China
10)   Socialist Party USA
11)   Hugo Chavez
12)   David Duke (former KKK member)
13)   Louis Farrakhan
14)   Centers for American Progress
15)   Moveon.org
16)   PRESSTV (Iranian Government outlet)
17)   Marxist Student Union

Now that we know a few of the Supporters/Sympathizers, let’s take a look at some of the facts related to these protests.

1)       It has been reported that the homeless are being “kicked out” of the protest areas because they are “freeloading”.  I find this ironic because I have seen picket signs of people demanding more handouts from the government.  Isn’t that a classic example of the pot calling the kettle black?  If they want help, why are they not extending help?

2)      There are multiple communist picket signs, too many to mention, but here is one that grabbed my attention:  “Common Good Trumps Individual Self-Interest”.  This mentality is what’s behind the numerous RAPES occurring with many not being reported.  It seems they are saying, “Yeah it’s bad that you got raped, but you need to keep silent for the common good of our cause, we can’t have negative attention take away from our message.”  I’m sorry but many men and women are being sexually assaulted and the perpetrators are being dealt with “internally”!  That is crazy!  If you don’t believe this, there are pamphlets being handed out a various protesting sites that inform protesters of how to handle these situations without alerting the police.  The NY Post interviewed a rape victim (she used a fake name) who reported, “We don’t tell anyone’ she said, “We handle it internally.”

3)      I have heard some with this collectivist mentality (remember the individual matters less than the collective) try and co-opt MLK.  Let’s please remember history correctly.  MLK did not conduct VIOLENT protests (the Weather Underground, co-founded by Bill Ayers, a stated Communist, did conduct protest that involved violence during that time frame).  In researching this, I learned the sign MLK was carrying when he was murdered said, “I AM A MAN”- that is individual.  He wasn’t part of a collective (though he was part of the African American Community, he wanted people to view each person as an individual who had thoughts, feelings and rights).

4)      A Few Examples:  Madison Wisconsin is not getting their permit to protest re-instated because of frequent public masturbations.  New Hampshire a 23 year old woman is arrested for trying to pimp out a 16 year old at the protests.  Dallas TX, a 14 year old Runaway is raped.   In NYC a deaf man is sexually assaulted.

5)      Guy Fawkes masks are being worn.  Guy Fawkes is a notorious traitor in England (Remember the movie “V for Vendetta”?)  November 5th is the anniversary of this day. This day used to be celebrated for the failed plot to overthrow the Parliament government, but is now being used as a sign of Rebellion against governmental power.  While I think we all have a right to have our voices heard, do we want to overthrow our government?      http://www.businessweek.com/ap/financialnews/D9QQP3NG0.htm

6)      Frequent signs and verbalizations against Jews are occurring.  Anti-Semitism is spreading in an alarming rate.

7)      Regular arrests are occurring at these protests as violence/destruction erupts.

8)      Cops are having bottles thrown at them ( a few functions) and are being verbally assaulted

The OWS protests that are riddling our nation are in vast contrast to the Tea Party Protests that sparked much controversy in the media.

So far OWS has lasted approximately 1.5 months and has resulted in multiple sexual assaults (more than what I reported here and more than what is being reported to the police/media) along with numerous arrests and violence that is costing cities millions of dollars to man.

Compare this to the Tea Party Protests that lasted 984 days (I didn’t know that until I researched).  In those 984 days there was NOT A SINGLE ARREST OR RAPE!!  Not one!  Because of the decreased violence there was not the need for increased police protection or trash clean up (they also didn’t loot/destroy property like some associated with the OWS protests).

Now let’s go one step farther, (I saw a similar chart on GBTV but have been unable a link to add).

COMMON GROUND BETWEEN OWS AND TEA PARTY
1)       Recognition of Problem:  Gov’t Spending, Special Interest Groups, Etc.
2)      The Bailouts Were Bad
3)      Let’s Go To The Streets – Voice Concern

Here is where the similarities end and the DIFFERENCES begin:

OWS                                                               Tea Party
Keep Spending to get us out of this mess!     Stop Spending!
More Gov’t Power                                          Less Gov’t Power
Eliminate Corporations                                   Eliminate Big Spenders
Tax the Rich                                                   No More Tax Increases
Replace/Change Constitution                          Restore/Preserve
                                                                            Constitution
Part Corruption (excuse certain rich)               All Corruption needs to end

So which side do you identify with?  You may not agree with everything on either side and you shouldn’t…you’re an individual and have individual rights with a voice.

Regardless of which side you find yourself, can’t we all agree that violence should be stopped and that we want our Republic preserved and not morphed into a socialist/communist nation?  There are groups mixing in with OWS movement that do not want the same thing most American’s do, but unfortunately the media is not telling the full story and/or people are being blinded by their anger.

It’s time to wake up America before it’s too late and change has arrived that none asked for.

Prayer:  God please help open our eyes to the truth, help us to hear past our biases and be open to honest communication and negotiation.  None of us will get everything we want, but we should be able to compromise so that we do not lose our individual rights while seeking to balance the good of our society.  Help us to expose corruption and in justice eliminate it so that integrity prevails.  Help us to love each other through your heart.  Our nation needs you dear Lord, please restore us.  In Jesus Name, amen.

(There are too many links to add for all the articles I have read, I have added a few but I encourage you to do your own research)

My "Attempt" to Explain OWS

I have been asked to do a post to help explain the purpose of Occupy Wall Street, OWS.  I wish it were as simple as a few sentences, but like most major movements, it cannot be explained by one post or even a series of posts (though I will be doing more than one on this topic) because this movement is bigger than any one group represented.

I believe what we are seeing transpire on Wall Street (and now sweeping our nation and influencing other nations) is something historians will study for generations in an effort to understand how it ignited and what the agenda’s were of all the various groups represented.  I also believe we will never fully comprehend this movement as it does represent so many different things to different people, but nevertheless, here is my “attempt” to shed light on such a foggy topic.

Wikipedia reports, “The protests were initiated by the Canadian activist group Adbusters.[5] They are mainly protesting social and economic inequality, corporate greed, corruption and influence over government—particularly from the financial services sector—and lobbyists.”
(Remember Adbusters gets donations from Tides foundation who has received $25 Million since 2000 from George Soros.)

To some OWS represents standing against corruption and holding banks accountable for “giving” out bad loans while taking government money.  Never mind that some banks had to take the money because they were portrayed as “too big to fail”.  Never mind that the government encouraged “giving” unsecured loans in a booming economy (Some could argue they knew the prosperity bubble would eventually collapse and they encouraged these loans to help facilitate the fall of the US economy, but that seems sinister doesn’t it?  Who wants to believe there are those that do not believe America is great and would want to cause harm?).  Forget also those citizens who should have known better than to take out loans they could not afford, that they should have lived within their means…and yes I know the economy went south and many lost their jobs, but if more people lived as our grandparents did and not on credit then the downfall of the economy would not have hit us as hard.

To others OWS is about fighting big business and capitalism.  For decades we have slowly been taught to believe wealth and capitalism are bad, that we should share the wealth (redistribution of wealth, it’s a trend that even our president supports).  For years, socialist agenda’s have slowly been sneaking into our youths minds until they no longer understand how great a country we live.  That is difficult for some to comprehend.  It is something I didn’t understand until two years ago when I started learning American and World history (and not like it is taught in our schools).

For some it means a chance to have their complaints heard.  Such as those who call themselves the 99ers, they want a job, but foolishly they are protesting large corporations that hire hundreds of people.

Still others want an excuse to act out their repression/aggression/oppression and any other pression you can think of.  I have heard that there are trust fund babies out there protesting wealthy American’s, which is just ironic.  There are celebrities lending their support… but I am not sure I understand (or they even understand) what they are supporting.  Some are Anti-Capitalists supporting this movement, which is paradoxical because it is this nation who has enabled them to become celebrities.  I have even heard a call for the return of the Guillotine (Example:  Roseanne Barr and no she did not appear to be joking when she gave this interview on Russia Today).

Some disapprove the top 1% of American’s and they call themselves the 99%.  This group apparently began this movement after answering AdBusters’ add in Sept.  I have heard some of them speak about our tax system and wanting the top 1% to pay more.  However, from what I have heard, they do not seem to fully understand our current tax system nor know the large amounts the top 1% is already paying (I don’t fully understand either, so I don’t have much to add except that while I believe our tax system needs an overhaul, I do not believe the top 1% should pay even more).

There are those who stand with unions, with religious organizations and some who simply stand alone.    Some are Anarchists, some are Communists, some are Jewish and some are Muslim (I’m sure there are other religions too, but the media isn’t focusing on them).  Some promote violent rhetoric while others are more peaceable.  Some hate our country and others love it, some want to see change happen for the good of our nation while others just want change in any form.  Some are cop killers/hate the military, while others support our men/women who protect and serve.  Some are a mixture of all of this and some are confused and just want to be a part of something bigger than themselves.  There are representatives from the Nazi party as well as the KKK, (In another post I will list the parties supporting OWS, you will be shocked!).

Tell me, don’t some of these groups induce fear when mentioned, why then is it okay that they are participating in this movement?  Shouldn’t this ring warning bells?

Overall, it is difficult to define this movement because it means so many things to so many people.  The protests breaking out across our nation echo the confusion and frustration of those on Wall Street.  The protest signs in other countries promoting OWS are a different can of worms…from what I can tell they hate America/Capitalism and want to see US crumble, but again it is too difficult to pin down one reason for the support of OWS.

I hope this helps, but I’m sure it doesn’t.  I’m sorry I cannot be clearer.  I can say I believe many protesting are being taken advantage of by those with more sinister plans than what is being represented.  I can say there is big money behind this and that this movement has been A LONG TIME in the making.  This is not spontaneous as some would have you to believe.

It also seems to be pretty widely accepted that the movement began with youth, which makes sense to those who know history and read the words of Revolutionaries…youth are easy to manipulate, they think with their emotions and do not fully understand what is at play (not my words but those of countless revolutionaries and those seeking the collective good over individual rights).

Prayer:  Lord please manifest your light on this situation.  Protect those demonstrating as well as those who protect the demonstrators.   I pray your truth, love and mercy prevail in this nation.  Lord, please bless America.  Thank You that we live in a free nation where we can speak our minds without fear of retaliation.

What are your thoughts?  Do you know of any other groups represented that I did not mention or do you have more information to share regarding the ones listed? (I look forward to bringing you more information on this next week).

Soros and Occupy WallStreet: What the Media Isn't Telling You

Reading a few blogs and listening to the news perpetuate shadows of truth (who can blame the media [heavy sarcasm] some receive indirect funding from Soros); I have decided to jump ahead on my journey of enlightening you on George Soros.  Much of what I am about to tell you will not make as much sense as it would have if I had the opportunity to fully explain this man, his agenda’s, his past experiences and so forth.  I apologize for not bringing you posts on him sooner, but he is not a topic many like to read on a regular basis.

Here is a look at what Soros is up to today and why it should concern you:

Soros recently gave an interview on Russia Today (BTW, did you see the interview by Roseanne Barr?) saying how he understood the plight of the occupiers on Wall Street, “I can sympathize with their grievances”.

This man is talking out both sides of his mouth!

While verbalizing support from the “kindness of his heart”, his brain is calculating how much money he can earn and how much power he can wield off the collapse of yet another economy.  (Remember the Fabian Society, LSE and Wolf in Sheep’s clothing?)

Soros has been involved in collapsing FIVE currencies!  FIVE!  He is the “Man who broke the bank of England”, he has been called an “Economic Terrorist” by Malaysia and been labeled an “Economic War Criminal” by Thailand.  There are more things he has been dubbed, but I don’t have the time or space to go into detail.

So what does this have to do with OWS?  Simple, he has made his Billions off of profiting from the downfall of currencies.

He is absolutely brilliant in how he goes about doing it!  One must follow the money…and that money trail can be difficult to follow.  He has many hedge funds and organizations that he channels money through in order to achieve his goals.

Since I have not had the chance to inform you on some of the more prominent organizations benefiting from Soros, I will give a brief overview.

Soros’ main organization is Open Society Foundation.  Through this, he channels money to various organizations.  The Tides foundation alone has received $25 million since 2000 from Open Society, who in turn donates money to various left winged groups.

Related to Occupy Wall Street:

1)       Soros has provided money to Tides foundation, who has recently donated to Ad Busters.  Ad Busters put out an advertisement on Sept 17, 2011 recruiting protesters for OWS.

2)       Sojourners (member: Jim Wallace who has been called a Marxist and has the ear of our president) has received $150,000.

3)      Soros donates to Center for American Progress, CAP, whose spokesperson gave an interview to the New York Times on 10/10/11 stating they were supporting OWS.

4)      Soros supports Moveon.org which is assisting the movement by recruiting virtual supports to help encourage the protesters.  Log onto this site and you can become part of a Virtual March of OWS.

5)      The protester Journal, OWS Journal, is also partially funded by the Tides Foundation.

6)      The Velvet Revolution, The New American Patriot, has created a new segment of the OWS called Occupy Marines.  The Velvet Revolution has received contributions from Tides (Google the founder of this organization for his criminal past).

Going back before OWS, one can see Soros’ hand in desiring to create a replacement Global Community when the current one fell.  (Remember, “Main obstacle to a stable and just world is the United States” George Soros).

April 8-11, 2011 Soros gave approx $50 million to help organize the Bretton Woods III meeting.  This meeting was orchestrated with the goal of developing a new Global Community.  Bretton Woods I and II dealt with the establishment of the IMF, the Gold Standard and America’s control of the world’s money supply (Google for more info).

Before even this:

April 8-10, 2005 (is there something about April?) Yale Law School hosted a symposium that was sponsored by Open Society as well as The American Constitution Society and CAP (all recipients of donations from Soros).  This conference was titled, “The Constitution of 2020” and discussed what a progressive constitution would look like.  To help advertise this conference, Soros used a branch of CAP called Campus Progress.

I have found that this conference also talked about a second Bill of Rights built upon FDR’s “Four Freedoms”, freedom of worship, freedom of speech, freedom from fear, as well as freedom from want.   (Seems pretty presumptuous to me to think any government or person could alleviate all fear and wants from society.  I personally fear a government who thinks it can do such things.)

Given this information, isn’t it possible Soros has another agenda behind supporting the protesters?  Isn’t it possible he is using this crisis to his advantage?  After all, why waste a good crisis when one can use it to further their agenda?
